Josh

Hi I’m Josh and I am one of the two co-founders and instructors at Kaiju sports services. Since a young age I’ve loved playing sports and being involved with fitness and health in general. A large portion of this stems from my love for rugby, which I have played since I was 11.

My goals as an instructor are to provide a variety of sessions and services that help our customers meet their health and fitness goals, so they can feel more comfortable and happy with who they are. I am currently a student at Barton Peveril college and am completing the triple CTEC in sport and physical activity as well as my level two coaching qualifications.

In the coming years I will be working hard at Solent university to gain my sports therapy degree to provided expert level rehabilitation therapy alongside completing nutrition courses to be able to help your journey even more.

Finlay

Hi, I’m Finlay and I’m the other co-founder and instructor at Kaiju Sport Services. My love for sport and fitness also stemmed from a young a age by playing sports my whole life and trying to hep people improve there general health with exercise. Similarly to Josh, my main love for sports comes from my passion for Rugby, which I have played since I was 12 and we have been teammates for almost 5 years.

Through my qualifications that I currently have and are working towards, my goals as an instructor are to help customers and friends feel more confident in everyday life and help people who might not appreciate there body, get to a place where they thrive.

I am currently a student at Barton Peveril college and am completing the triple CTEC in sport and physical activity as well as my level two coaching qualifications.

Next year I am looking to complete my level 3 fitness qualification to become a fully qualified Personal Trainer so I can give more advice during session and provide more help during 1 to 1 sessions. After college I’m planning to complete a sport coaching and physical education degree to improve my coaching skills even more and to be able to help coach people from the beginning to the end no matter the age.

The Origin of Kaiju Sport Services

At a first glance it may seem like we chose our name randomly, however there is more reason behind it than you would think. Initially it was because it sounded fun, Kaiju being the Japanese word for a large monster like Godzilla, it seemed like a funny name for a sports business. However as we delved into our thoughts a bit more, it made more sense and had more meaning than we initially realized. When exercising ourselves, our goal is to reach a high level of physicality and feel confident in ourselves and our presentation. In a way, using the word Kaiju fit this perfectly. Exercising should make you feel large and in charge, confident and free, all factors embodied by a Kaiju. This aligned perfectly with our goals as all we want is to help others feel confident and healthy, and so the name stuck and will continue to be our branding into the foreseeable future.
